HenShare chicken delivery!
We had a surprise CropShare farm day today, as 30 new chickens for the farm’s HenShare scheme arrived early!
The farm already has a small flock of Black Rock- type chickens that were badly depleted by foxes last year. The flock has always been given free run of the whole farm, and used to come up to CropSharers at lunchtimes!

Here’s when you can join in the fun on the farm this year!
When you come to a farm day, you can join in either for the morning session, from 9.30am, the afternoon session, from 1.30pm, or both sessions. Whichever session you come to, we recommend joining in our wonderful shared lunch which is 12.30pm-1.30pm.
At lunchtime, you can share in the farm’s harvest by choosing some fresh seasonal farm...
First 2013 CropShare day: sheep and strawberries
“Oh, hello there, do you come here often?”
We had a great time at the first CropShare farm day this year! Farmer Paul grows a range of strawberries on the farm, mostly heritage vareties. They too have their place in his crop rotation and this Saturday it was the job of us CropSharers to move plants to another field, so brassicas can be grown on the previous site of the strawbs.
