Seems like we have branched out here at CropShare, and our farming volunteers have become tumblers and balancers! Here’s what we got up to at lunchtime at the farm…

So what farming did we get up to? Well, scything in the orchard first of all, getting rid of the long grass around the young apple and plum trees. Look out for our visit to our mates at Cambridge Sustainability Centre for apple pressing soon in Oct!

As well as work in the orchard, we had CropSharers out in the fields hoeing winter veg, including the impressive looking multicoloured kale.

And we also did a spot of lay down weeding / sunbathing 😉 whilst removing weeds from winter brassicas.
