Apple and Squash Harvest

It’s time to harvest squash and apple crops at the farm! The orchard had a tidy up this month as we scythed away long grass around the young trees to let our pickers through. The sheep have also been running around in there keeping the grass down. The apple trees were all budded by Farmer Paul and are about 10 years old now. Potato and onion harvest

    What on earth did CropShare get up to his time? Among all the balancing tricks… In field games…   Fencing matches with large organic weed plants (Fat Hen is great for this)… Ferret play time…   We actually managed to harvest LOADS of onions and potatos! It’s a wonder we get stuff done 😉 Farmer Paul first lifts the potatoes with a harvester – which leaves them near the soil surface for us to pick....
